06/ 2011 Eternal Sunday DJ Set @ Ciudad Emergente, Buenos Aires

Once again Eternal Sunday was invited to play music for the assistants to the Festival Ciudad Emergente held in Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires in June, 2011. Here are some pictures and a video.

06/ 2011 New release: Flamedown

Eternal Sunday presents the debut album by the AOR/ Westcoast band Flamedown, with top international guests.



Flamedown was formed in 2009 by Charlie Giardina (bass, lead voice, programming), Javier Viñas (guitar) and Emiliano Giménez (drums, percussion). Their musical style is AOR/ Westcoast, a style that had its peak during the 80's. The band's main influences are artists like Toto, Journey, Chicago, Mr. Mister, y Steely Dan.

At the end of 2010 Flamedown released their first 4 songs EP as a promo and played live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Now Flamedown releases its debut album through the label Eternal Sunday.

The album contains ten songs and includes the participation of top international session players like Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, David Gilmour), Bruce Gaitsch (Madonna, Peter Cetera, Chicago), Michael Thompson (Michael Bolton, Richard Marx), Peppy Castro (Paul Stanley, Joan Jett), CJ Vanston (Steve Lukather, Celine Dion), Jeff Babko (Simon Phillips, Michael Landau) and Ty Tabor (King’s X).

Eternal Sunday presenta el álbum debut de la banda AOR/ Westcoast Flamedown, con invitados internacionales de lujo.



Flamedown fue formada en 2009 por Charlie Giardina (bajo, voz, programaciones), Javier Viñas (guitarra) y Emiliano Giménez (batería, percusión). El estilo musical de la banda es el AOR/ Westcoast, estilo que tuvo su pico de popularidad en los años '80. La banda tiene como principales influencias musicales a artistas como Toto, Journey, Chicago, Mr. Mister, y Steely Dan.

Eternal Sunday was one of the labels that took part of MICA (Mercado de Industras Culturales Argentinas), a huge conference and convention held in Buenos Aires from June 02-05, 2011.

06/ 2011 Nota de tapa en el suplemento Sí de Clarín

El Suplemento Sí del diario Clarín (el más vendido de Argentina) realizó una extensa nota acerca de las bandas argentinas con material en inglés. Emiliano Canal (citado erroneamente como "Cabral"), directror de Eternal Sunday, aparece destacado defendiendo a los artistas que cantan en inglés.

La salida de la nota prueba que la movida local en inglés está consolidada y merece un tratamiento mediático de primer nivel.
