02/ 2020 New release: Baby Scream – Just Covers

Eternal Sunday presents Just Covers, an album by Baby Scream in which Juan Pablo Mazzola  covers some songs originally performed by other people. The selection of music is pretty eclectic and seems to reflex Mazzola’s sophisticated taste in music that includes power pop from the 90s (Samantha 7, Fastball), trash metal (Sepultura), pop from the 80s (Cyndi Lauper, Culture Club, The Psychedelic Furs), 60s rock and pop (Johnny Rivers, Aaron Neville) and 70s B-movies soundtracks (Orville Stoeber, who wrote the song “Stay Forever, My Love” for the cult horror movie Let’s Scare Jessica To Death). The songs are produced by Nick Schinder and feature the classic Baby Scream sound, clean rock with a retro flavor, this time with some electronic sounds and loops added to the mix.

Eternal Sunday presents anothe tribute album by Softcore Express, Electrostones. The album features 11 tracks made famous (in the 60s) by the legendary rockers The Rolling Stones, this time produced as synthpop/ electropop/ synthwave tracks. A variety of classic analog synthesizers and drum machines were used to give the album a classic, retro feel. A must for any electro fan.

Like the first one, it features 14 inmortal pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach recorded with  vintage synthesizers, as an homage to the early work of Wendy Carlos and many other synthesizer pioneers of the late 60s and early 70s.

ExZentrica: 05/ 2019 Nuevo lanzamiento: Diego Parrilla – Espasmo De Amor

ExZentrica presenta Espasmo de Amor, el primer álbum solista de Diego Parrilla luego de formar parte de varias bandas y proyectos como artista y productor. El álbum contiene 15 tracks con una fuerte influencia de lo mejor del rock/ pop argentino de los ’80 y ’90, combinando sonidos eléctricos de guitarra con líneas de sintetizadores. Las composiciones son originales, excepto “Domingo” donde colabora con el artista chileno Joaquín Stevens y en los covers de “Qué Hago en Manila” (originalmente de Virus) y “Vuelta Por El Universo” de Cerati/ Melero. Un álbum de gran calidad grabado con amor y buen gusto.

El single “En Espiral (Versión single)” fue lanzado como corte del álbum.

03/ 2019 New release: Softcore Express – Peter Gunn

Eternal Sunday presents yet another killer electronic cover version by Softcore Express, this time the inmortal instrumental Peter Gunn. The piece was composed by the legendary Henry Mancini for the first original detectiver series for TV, Peter Gunn (1958), created by Blake Edwards (who also created the Pink Panther, which would also use music by Mancini). Along the years several versions of Peter Gunn were released. The original one, a guitar-based one by Duane Eddy,  a very well known version by Emerson, Lake And Palmer, arranged as progressive rock in the 70s, and a nice electropop version by the Art Of Noise during the 80s, made using samplers and top technology of the time (this version won a Grammy award). Now, Softcore Express releases a version for the new generations, arranged in the usual synthpop/ synthwave style using analog synthesizers.
