In the last weeks artists from Eternal Sunday have performed and toured in foreign countries. Valerio Rinaldi gave a killer show in Miami, USA at Novecento sponsored by cerveza Quilmes. The Kavanaghs performed at the Culture Collide festival in California as part of their USA tour, that included also cities like Cleveland, Fresno, Des Moines and Washington DC. Jim Bonfanti, legendary drummer for The Rapsberries, performed some gigs as a guest. Baby Scream, Juan Pablo Mazzola's project, is currently in Berlin, Germany, recording new material, performing live and shooting music videos.

En las últimas semanas artistas de Eternal Sunday han tocado y girado por el exterior. Valerio Rinaldi dio un magnífico show en Miami, USA en el restaurante Novecento auspiciado por cerveza Quilmes. The Kavanaghs se presentaron en el festival Culture Collide en California como parte de su gira por Estados Unidos que incluyó además ciudades como Cleveland, Fresno, Des Moines y Washington DC. The powerpop band from Rosario The Kavanaghs was announced as one of the international bands that'll perform at Culture Collide, the famous annual festival organized by Filter Magazine. They'll be the only band from Argentina, as usual.

Maybe now the retarded local festival organizers will start looking at these bands with more respect.

09/ 2010 The Kavanaghs are back from the US

The band from Rosario is back from their first North American tour.

The powerpop band from Rosario, Argentina The Kavanaghs toured the USA in August 2010. The Kavanaghs are part of the first generation of local artists that compose and perform original songs in English, which helps them reach major markets that are difficult for bands that perform in Spanish. The band was invited to perform at the International Pop Overthrow, that takes place in different cities of Europe and North America. The most important bands of the powerpop scene perform at the IPO. The only artist from Argentina that performed besides The Kavanaghs was Juan Pablo Mazzola's project Baby Scream.

The Kavanaghs performed at Los Angeles (August 07) and Portland (August 12). They also played at Las Vegas (Hard Rock Café), New York and Washington DC. Latin bands normally perform in Spanish and therefore depend on the Latin community to sell tickets, but since The Kavanaghs perform in English language was not an issue.

The band was received with good critics and was invited to new editions of the festival and to other venues. The Kavanaghs had already toured the UK in 2009. The band's first album was released in 2009 by Eternal Sunday, the label from Argentina specialized in released local pop music with vocals in English.

09/ 2010 The Kavanaghs, de regreso de su tour por Estados Unidos

La banda rosarina se presentó exitosamente en Estados Unidos.

La banda de powerpop rosarina The Kavanaghs realizó su primer tour por los Estados Unidos en agosto de 2010. The Kavanaghs forman parte de la primera generación de artistas locales que componen e interpretan sus canciones en inglés, lo que le facilita la llegada a los principales mercados musicales en comparación con los artistas locales que cantan en español. La banda fue a Estados Unidos invitada a tocar en el festival International Pop Overthrow, que se realiza en diferentes sedes en Europa y Norteamérica y en el que participan las bandas más importantes de la escena powerpop. Sólo un artista argentino había participado del IPO, la banda de Juan Pablo Mazzola Baby Scream.

The Kavanaghs se presentaron en las fechas de Los Angeles, el 7 de agosto, y Portland el 12 de agosto. A estas fechas les sumaron shows en Las Vegas (en el Hard rock Café), New York y Washington DC. Cabe aclarar que las bandas con material en inglés se diferencian de las bandas en español en que no dependen de atraer un público de residentes latinos y compatriotas emigrados, abriendo de esta manera puertas de mercados que hasta ahora estuvieron cerradas para las bandas locales.

La banda recibió muy buenas críticas y fue invitada a nuevas ediciones del festival y a realizar otros shows. The Kavanaghs ya habían ido de gira al Reino Unido en 2009. El primer disco de la banda fue editado en 2009 por Eternal Sunday, sello argentino especializado en lanzar artistas locales en inglés.

07/ 2010 The Kavanaghs announce US tour

The powerpop band from Argentina The Kavanaghs announce their second international tour. After having played in the UK in 2009 now it's the turn of the USA, where their debut album is available in specialized CD stores. The Kavanaghs were invited to perform at the International Pop Overthrow, probably the most important event in the international powerpop scene. The festival takes place in different cities of the USA and Europe, and The Kavanaghs will play at the Los Angeles and Portland dates. The band will also play in other venues (not as part of the festival), being the most important the Hard Rock Café in Las Vegas and venues in New York City and Washington DC.

The Kavanaghs have two albums released by the label from Argentina Eternal Sunday. The songs in the first one, The Kavanaghs are originals, while the second album, This Is Where We Come From, is a compilation of classic rock covers that influenced the band. The Kavanaghs perform songs with vocals in English, placing them among the few bands from Argentina that tour non Spanish-speaking countries playing for the regular public, not for the Latin community.

La banda argentina de powerpop oriunda de Rosario The Kavanaghs anuncia su segunda gira internacional. Después de haber tocado con éxito en Inglaterra en 2009 esta vez es el turno de los Estados Unidos, país en el que el álbum debut de la banda está en venta en tiendas especializadas. The Kavanaghs fueron invitados al formar parte del festival International Pop Overthrow, seguramente el evento más importante de la escena powerpop internacional. El festival se desarrolla en diferentes sedes de Estados Unidos y Europa. The Kavanaghs tocará en las fechas de Los Angeles y Portland. Otras fechas fuera del festival se han agregado al calendario, entre ellas en el Hard Rock Café de Las Vegas y en ciudades como Washington DC y New York.

The Kavanaghs tienen dos álbumes lanzados por el sello local Eternal Sunday, el primero es The Kavanaghs, que contiene material original propio y hace unos meses se lanzó en formato digital This Is Where We Come From, una compilación de covers de rock clásico que influenciaron el sonido de la banda.

Cabe aclarar que The Kavanaghs interpretan temas en inglés, con lo que al irse de gira tocan en inglés para los públicos locales, no para los residentes latinos que es lo usual en los artistas nacionales que van a países de habla no hispana.

Valerio Rinaldi at the SXSW festival 2009

Valerio Rinaldi will performe once again at the most important festival held in the USA.

Invited once again by the organizers, Valerio Rinaldi will be representing Argentinean music at SXSW, that takes place from March 18, 2009 in Austin, Texas. It is considered the most important festival held in the USA.

Valerio will perform on Thursday March 19 at St. David's Church, an old church that was changed into a theater and regularly hosts international events.

Valerio will present his EP Hasta El Fin Del Mundo, released as a prepaid download card by Eternal Sunday. Once again the artists from Eternal Sunday show what they do at foreign places, gaining exposition for Argentinean music.

Valerio Rinaldi vuelve a presentarse en el festival más prestigioso de USA.

Invitado especialmente una vez más por los organizadores, Valerio Rinaldi estará representando a la Argentina en el festival SXSW, que se lleva a cabo a partir del 18 de Marzo en Austin, Texas, y es considerado el festival más importante de los Estados Unidos.

Valerio se presenta el Jueves 19 de Marzo en St David's Church, una iglesia remozada que alberga regularmente shows internacionales.

Valerio presentará su EP Hasta El Fin Del Mundo lanzado en formato de tarjeta de descarga prepaga por Eternal Sunday. Nuevamente los artistas de Eternal Sunday ganan espacios en el exterior para la música argentina.
