08/ 2017 New Release: The Kavanaghs – Headlights

Eternal Sunday presents Headlights, the third studio album (containing original songs) by the powerpop band The Kavanaghs from Rosario, Argentina. The band has gone trough some changes since Love Conquers Pain, from 2011. Singer/ guitar player Alejandro Pin is gone, so drummer Seba Cairo took his place at the guitar and new member Franco Barbieri replaced Seba on drums. In this album, half of the songs were written by Seba Cairo and half by Tiago Galíndez, who wrote most of the songs that appear on the Kavanaghs first two albums. Tiago himself is dividing his time between The Kavanaghs and his solo project (in Spanish) Tiago & Los Pájaros.
 
Some things have changed in six years, but what stays is the wonderful Kavanaghs signature powerpop sound, a combination of the classic 60s British rock with a touch of 90s britpop and current indie rock. The catchy choruses are there, as well as the vocal harmonies and the radio friendly sound. Headlights on, The Kavanaghs are back for good.

08/ 2017 New Release: The Kavanaghs – Love Conquers Pain Live

Eternal Sunday presents Love Conquers Pain Live, the album that captures the magical night (September 19, 2011) in which The Kavanaghs performed at the Sala Lavarden theatre in their home city, Rosario, Argentina, to present their newest album, Love Conquers Pain. 
 
The recording shows the band playing at it best for their own public. The album contains 15 tracks, the whole Love Conquers Pain album plus some songs taken form their debut album The Kavanaghs.

02/ 2014 New release: Baby Scream - Greatest Failures

Baby Scream is a project lead by Juan Pablo Mazzola from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His music was released in several countries like Germany, England, USA. and Argentina. Baby Scream’s last release, Greatest Failures, is a compilation of the band’s best tracks plus one new song, “Aching Eyes”.
 
Baby Scream’s music can be described as melancholic pop, the sound resembles some 70s classic Power Pop artists and bands like Big Star, Badfinger, The Raspberries and John Lennon, and some 90s acts like Fountains Of Wayne, Gigolo Aunts or The Jayhawks. The albums were always well received by the media and critics of the power pop scene like Shindig! (UK), Absolute Power Pop (USA) or Powerpopaholic (USA).

Muddy Stardust (Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Col. Parker, LA Guns) produced two albums, Identity Theft and Baby Scream, in which Eric Dover (Jellyfish, Slash’s Snakepit) collaborated in the song “The Ghosts Of Valerie”.

Baby Scream performed in Europe, where the most memorable gig was in Norway at the Bödi Glimt stadium but also performed in London (in places like The Borderline, invited by Jayhawks’ Mark Olson) and in Berlin. He was the first Argentinean artist who played at the International Pop Overthrow in USA.

Currently Baby Scream is based in Buenos Aires and the rest of the band members are Diego Serra (drums), Leandro Emanuele (bass) y Maximiliano Sueldo (guitar)

Eternal Sunday proudly presents the new single by The Kavanaghs Tonight (Alfredo Norese Remixes) features two remixes of the single “Tonight” made by electronic music producer and remixer Alfredo Norese.
 
The Kavanaghs are one of Argentina’s top powerpop bands, having toured the UK and USA twice. The original version is featured in the album Love Conquers Pain.



The single is a Beatport exclusive release for some weeks.

05/ 2012 New Release: Baby Scream, Lost Balloons, free download, it contains the Marc Bolan (T-Rex) lost demos

Baby Scream releases for free the album Lost Balloons, it contains Marc Bolan lost tapes.

In 2011 Baby Scream released its 8th album, Secret Place, and Juan Pablo Mazzola, the leader, decided to clean the closet and the shelves. That's how the album Lost Balloons was born, a compilatuion of old recordings, demos, cover versions and songs that didn't made the final tracklist of other releases. The album contains 17 tracks and the band and the label decided to give it away as a free download.

Lost Balloons contains original songs as well as covers of The Ramones, T-Rex, The Replacements, Tony Orlando, The Electric Prunes and John Lennon.

It also includes the songs "Reality" and "Song For A Soldier", originally written by Marc Bolan (glam rock superstar, singer of the band T-Rex, dead in 1977) that have an unusual story (as it usually happens around Baby Scream). A collector from Norway called Iojan Bolgard bought at an auction (for tens of thousands of dollars) many reel tapes and acetates that originally belonged to Marc Bolan and discovered two new, unknown songs written by Bolan who were never released, "Reality" and "Song For A Soldier", this last one a protest against the Vietnam war. By chance Juan Pablo Mazzola, a huge Marc Bolan/ T-Rex fan himself, came across Bolgard, stood in his home in Norway and the collector played the songs for him and offered him to make new, Baby Scream versions of the songs. But Baby Scream never was able to overcome the legal onstacles to release the songs commercially, in fact those songs are officially unknown and there's no record of them as Bolan in any legal form, so, not knowing what to do with them and existing in a legal limbo, they were included in Lost Balloons.

Baby Scream lanza gratuitamente el álbum Lost Balloons, contiene los demos perdidos de Marc Bolan.  En 2011 Baby Scream lanzó su 8vo álbum, Secret Place, y Juan Pablo Mazzola, su líder, decidió limpiar los armarios. Nació así Lost Balloons, un álbum recopilatorio de viejas grabaciones, demos, versiones de temas de otros artistas y canciones que quedaron afuera de otros álbumes. El álbum contiene 17 tracks y la banda y el sello decidieron agasajar a los fans de la banda alojando el álbum como de libre descarga. 

Lost Balloons contiene canciones propias originales y covers de The Ramones, T-Rex, The Replacements, Tony Orlando, The Electric Prunes y John Lennon.

Sin embargo, Baby Scream no pudo obtener los debidos permisos legales para lanzar comercialmente el single, de hecho esas canciones siguen siendo oficialmente desconocidas y no figuran en ninguna entidad como obras de Marc Bolan, así que, no sabiendo qué hacer con ellas y existiendo en un limbo legal, se las incluyó en Lost Balloons.

05/ 2012 The Kavanaghs will perform at Culture Collide 2012 (California, USA)

The powerpop band from Rosario The Kavanaghs was announced as one of the international bands that'll perform at Culture Collide, the famous annual festival organized by Filter Magazine. They'll be the only band from Argentina, as usual.

Maybe now the retarded local festival organizers will start looking at these bands with more respect.

03/ 2012 Two songs by The Kavanaghs in the film El Vagoneta

The Argentinean film El Vagoneta En El Mundo Del Cine (The lazy one in the world of movies) that includes two songs by The Kavanaghs opens in theatres

 

The film is based on the web series El Vagoneta, one of the first Argentinean web series, that had more than two million followers online. It tells the story of four friends that, in order not to work anymore, build a billboard sign on a house terrace. The soundtrack includes two songs by The Kavanaghs,  "Hyde Park" y "Cat In Town", taken from their Eternal Sunday debut The Kavanaghs.

Se estrena el filme argentino El Vagoneta En El Mundo Del Cine que contiene dos canciones de The Kavanaghs en su banda sonora

El filme es la película basada en la serie web El Vagoneta, una de las primeras series webs argentinas, que tuvo más de 2 millones de espectadores. Cuenta la historia de cuatro amigos que, para no trabajar más, ponen un cartel publicitario en una terraza. La banda de sonido posee dos canciones de The Kavanaghs, "Hyde Park" y "Cat In Town", extraídas de su primer álbum The Kavanaghs lanzado por Eternal Sunday.
