We are proud to announce that Original Fate, by Ana Magiar, is nominated for best electronic music album at 2016 edition of the Premios Gardel/ Gardel Awards.
The Premios Gardel/ Gardel Awards are the Argentinean equivalent to the Brits and the Grammys,
and probably the most prestigeous music award in South America. This
will be the 18th edition. The ceremony will take place on June 7th in
Buenos Aires. This is the 5th nomination for an Eternal Sunday release, the 4th for best electronic music album (the compilation Electric Future Beats: Progressive: New Electronic Music From Argentinawon in 2012).
The ceremony for the Premios Gardel awards 2013 (the Argentinean equivalent to the Brits and the Grammys) took place in August 21, 2013 in the Opera theatre, Buenos Aires.
Eternal Sunday had 2 nominations but, sadly, we won no award this year. Congratulations to Poncho and Illia Kuriaki and The Valderramas who won the awards in the categories we were nominated.
The compilation Electric Future Beats: Progressive: New Electronic Music From Argentina won the Premio Gardel 2012 award to the best electronic music album released in 2011. The compilation was released by Eternal Sundayand features 8 tracks by underground music producers from Argentina. The idea behind the album was to release something that contained in its title the words "electronic" "music" "Argentina" since an online search returned none.
The Premios Gardel awards are Argentina's equivalent to the Grammys and one of the few music awards in Latin America. They are organized by CAPIF, the Argentinean chamber of music labels. This was the 14th edition. The ceremony was held at the Usina del Arte, La Boca, Buenos Aires, and was broadcasted live on cable TV. A big after party with a red carpet was given, too.
