Eternal Sunday presents another single by synthpop artist Canal Pop, this time featuring the beautiful and young singer and actress Pauli Cugnata on vocals. The song is called “Let’s Move”
and it’s an ironic look at someone who feels that his or her life must
go on somewhere else. As usual, the production features a classic
synthpop/ synthwave arrangement with lots of analog synthesizers sounds.
Two remixes were added to the single, both by DJ and producer German Kreff.

02/ 2019 New release: Softcore Express – Libertango
Eternal Sunday presents a new electronic tango single by Softcore Express, this time Libertango another composition by Astor Piazzolla,
the composer that fusioned tango with contemporary music in the second
half of the XX century. As usual the track is produced using analog
synthesizers and drum machines, with no acoustic instruments whatsoever,
including no bandoneon (tango accordion) which is the instrument that
gives tango its distinctive sound. A very fresh version of a classic
composition.

01/ 2019 New release: Softcore Express – Electronic Bach: Switched-On Versions
Eternal Sunday presents another landmark album by Softcore Express: Electronic Bach Switched-on Versions,
an album that features 12 tracks composed by the immortal Johan
Sebastian Bach produced with analog synthesizers. Of course, the album
is an homage to the first ever synthesized classical music album, done
by Wendy Carlos in 1968 (back when he was Walter Carlos). That album
produced dozens of clones, creating a new musical genre: classical music made with synthesizers.
Now Softcore Express pays homage to that late 60s/ early 70s craze with
this lovely album. The cover features a picture taken on the Recoleta
Cemetery, Buenos Aires.

The first six tracks are collaborations with the Finnish producer Moon Dust, while the last one, “The Land Of The Sun” is a collaboration with the Italian producer Massimo Ghianda. Another killer release that makes clear why Ana Magiar is becoming a strong name in the classical crossover/ neoclassical electronic worldwide scene.

10/ 2018 New release: Softcore Express – Memphis, Tennessee
Eternal Sunday presents yet another synthpop EP by Softcore Express, Memphis, Tennessee, this time a tribute to one of the most important (and forgotten) bands in the history of the genre: Silicon Teens. Silicon Teens
was one of the first virtual projects (this is, the band didn’t
actually existed) in the history of electronic music. They were created
in the UK by Mute Records owner, Daniel Miller, and they only released one album, Music For Parties, in 1980. The late Fad Gadget
provided the vocals. Though the project didn’t have a great success, it
paved the way for the early 80s synthpop revolution in the UK,
inspiring upcoming acts like OMD and Depeche Mode.
Memphis, Tennessee features four cover songs that were part of Music For Parties. The song that gives name to the release (originally by Chuck Berry), “Let’s Dance” (a cover of the 1962 hit by Chris Montez), “Judy In Disguise” (originally by John Fred and his Playboy Band) and the Kinks’ hit “You Really Got Me”. These four songs were recorded close to the Silicon Teens versions, using heavily synthesized electronic sounds from (mostly) vintage analog equipment.

09/ 2018 New release: Softcore Express – Synthango
Eternal Sunday presents an amazing album: Synthango, by Softcore Express, an album that compiles instrumental versions of 11 of the best known tango pieces in the Universe produced with a synthpop/ synthwave sound, made with vintage analog synthesizers.
Electronic tango or electrotango became popular as a genre around the year 2000, but was mostly a combination of tango classic sounds, especially the bandoneon/ tango accordion, with loops and electronic percussion (not always produced in good taste). This is not what Synthango is: there’s no bandoneon/ tango accordion or any other acoustic instrument in this album, everything was replaced with pulsating lines of analog synthesizers that create a surprising sound collage that was never done before, very catchy and overflowing with naïve freshness.
Synthango is both an homage to tango from Buenos Aires and to the synthpop sound of the pioneer producers that developed electronic music based on synthesizers during the 70s and 80s. The sound and arrangements evoke legendary producers and artists like Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone and synthpop pioneers like Yazoo, SoftCell o Depeche Mode, giving as a result a tango album that’s unique, revolutionary and apt for a global public and market.
